WILMINGTON — Batavia defeated Clinton-Massie in a pair of SBAAC American Division bowling matches Monday at Royal Z Lanes.
The Massie boys lost for the first time 2,554 to 2,465. Andrew Pride and Carter Lynch combined for 848 during team games for the Bulldogs.
“At the end of the day, it comes down to spare shooting and striking when you can,” Massie coach Tyler Hayslip said. “Batavia was the better spare shooting team. They brought the energy to the lanes and we did not. They are a very good team and I cannot wait to see them at their place.”
Mason Keck led Massie with a 379 series. The Falcons did have a 236 baker game.
The girls also were defeated 2,229 to 1,863. Massie is 0-2 in the American. Batavia is 1-1 in league play.
Lacie Sandlin had a 202 game with a 362 series for Masssie.
